During today's gaming session, one of our play-testers, Peter "Tupinamba" Caldenhof, has suggested a change to the weapons profile regarding the twin lightsabre option and the double lightsabre option. The idea Peter helped us come up with was very good and it changed the game (for the better). In fact, we felt the new concept was so positive we have already incorporated it into the official rules for Jedi Showdown and the downloadable file on the side-bar is already updated.
Hence, the twin lightsabre option now gives you your re-roll for misses, but it halves the STR bonus of the weapon; making STR+5 instead of STR+10. The double lightsabre option will give you your re-rolls at the normal STR bonus of +10.
Well done Peter!
We also decided on a change to the dynamics of Jedi Shodown regarding the general the rules for Uses of the Force. However, if you don't feel like downloading and printing it again, all you have to change is the session entitled "The Ways of the Force" which now includes the following concepts:
We also decided on a change to the dynamics of Jedi Shodown regarding the general the rules for Uses of the Force. However, if you don't feel like downloading and printing it again, all you have to change is the session entitled "The Ways of the Force" which now includes the following concepts:
The Ways of the Force:
- Protagonist characters can use a Force pt. to enhance a profile characteristic with a +1 bonus. This means you can declare that you are adding +1 to your STR, or to your FS, or to your DS etc.
- Protagonist characters can exchange a Force pt. for an action pt. at any time during the game. If you do it in your cue, you can make an extra attack. If you do it in your opponent's cue, you can make an extra defence. This additional action pt. can never be used for Special Duelling Moves or Force Feats.
- You can always use a Force pt. to recall a thrown weapon or to recover your lightsabre if you were disarmed.
