Tavern Duel is Back!

The "olde" game of tavern duels is back! Created in 2006, this very simple and diverting game of wits depicts a typical tavern duel of the XVI century.

Inspired by the superb range of historical miniatures offered by The Foundry (
http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/main.asp
) and using a degree of historical accuracy about the duelling techniques of that era, Duel entices players to rediscover the perils of a XVI Century brawl.

As many of our play-testers know, before we created this game, we went through a whole lot of research and practical sword sparring (ouch!) in order to come up with something that is both true and simple. We wanted a game that would be diverting, but would not be entirely based on fantasy. Moreover, we wanted a game that would not depend so much on the casting of dice. So, though a certain degree of luck is involved - as in real life - ultimately, it will be your strategy during the game that will help you achieve victory.

Hence, Duel successfully recreates the lethality of fighting with cut & thrust blades and the necessity to keep your wits about yourself during the contest, whilst remaining true to its objective of becoming an entertaining and fortuitous game to be played over and over by you and your friends.

If you have not experienced the challenge yet, come meet your match in the most dangerous tavern of Morgangameshire.

Vendetta Redux

The game of duelling in the streets of Morgangameshire is back! In the coastal town of Morgangameshire, feuding clans fought fiercely; contending for nothing but their own satisfaction and the honour of their clan. It was not until the Duke arrived that some order was brought to the walled coastal city. Appalled at the incivility of the local noblemen, the mighty Duke promptly and ruthlessly forbade any fighting to take place in public areas of the town, under pain of imprisonment in the gallows. Nonetheless, the oldest tradition of Morgangameshire could not be suppressed so quickly, and the noble families of the shire persisted in the hostilities; albeit covertly. To the noble houses of Morgangameshire, honour must be satisfied; even if at the expense of freedom.

A revised version of the old Vendetta skirmish game is now available for download on the side bar. The new and improved edition enjoys a better armoury list, simplified rules with fewer character options but with just as much strategy involved in generating your party of brigands and twice as much playability.

Come test the rules and let us know what you think!

Dragon Slayers Revised

Quick Quest Dragon Slayers has received an update to include new images and a review of the text. We have also made our dragons a bit more manacing, as our play-testers were becoming too cocky about the ease with which they were slaying dragons.
The other novelty is a revision of the armoury to make it more self-explainatory. Players were sending in several question on how to combine arms and armour, and we think that the new armoury list will solve this small detail. If it doesn't, let us know.

SFS-Farpoint Station Released Today

This is the May New Release! Fellow play-testers, we are proud to be releasing today the Beta Version of SFS-Farpoint Station for your enjoyment and testing. This is a game developed from our own old SFS-Castle Run. The rules have been simplified and condensed into a set that makes game-play faster and quite fun (we hope).

This rules set has not yet been fully tested and we are counting on you to find the rufspots and wrinckles that we may iron them out and make this the best spaceship game in our line. If you want to have a go at Farpoint Station, get your spaceship models ready, a few dice and download the tentative rules from the link below:
